About 10,000 dogs are expected to be killed during the controversial event which started this Tuesday.’
Yulin
on the inside they weep because
outside we cannot hear
on the inside they hurt because
outside we’re strangling them with gripping wire
on the inside they are petrified because
outside we don’t care about menus of ancient tradition
on the inside they are suffocating because
outside they stack wooden crates and metal cages, piled on top of death
on the inside a broken paw is nothing because…
…to those on the outside, waiting for food to cook,
it makes less work.
Heart tearing. But nothing compared to animals bring tortured for human pleasure. Makes me sick.

Yes, and who are these deliberate people that can do this kind of thing, it comes down to more than a money based/necessity driven thing, it has to. Thank you for you thoughts and for the appreciation of awareness.

I had heard/read of this article previous to your creation, Anita. Of course I was outraged and pissed-off at the treatments of those poor dogs. I hope the judge, jury and lawyers throw many sharp things at those heartless b*st*rds. 🙂 I am being very kind with just that one word. There are too many to use to describe those mindless fiends.
On a better hand -your words again, always Powerful and Profound.

Such a sick ‘festival’
I wish the Chinese were more compassionate towards animals, it’s a real blemish on the country and society. Where does the eat anything culture come from?

It is, yes.
I was reading this: In China, it can be traced back to around 1700 B.C., a lot of other countries have this sick culture and the Buddhists nearly stopped it.

I went down the list angry, and it turned to weird city;
5. The dog is one of China’s twelve zodiac signs. People who are born in the year of the dog are generally believed to be loyal, faithful and unselfish. They can also be pessimistic, anxious, and doubtful about many things in life.
The latter is hysterical, I’d be a tad anxious, and about many things but mainly because I’d be afraid I would be the next meal in our household. Further down t is even more disturbing.
Basically, in China the dog has been both food and friend., and a thing of torture.
Thanks for reading and please sign anything you see to help this and anything on your watch. Rant over – Thank you.

In some ways eating dogs is no different than chickens. Only us Westerners have an attachment to them. But any inhumane slaughter is horrible.

Well yeah because we have an affinity with such things like horses, dogs etc. (except Tesco on occasion) lol, Chickens not so much as in day to day domesticity…pleasure etc. But your main point is quite right, why the torture.? The ironic thing is that they see torturing the dogs in this case, enhances the meat they are about to eat. I was puzzled about that and wondered why they were taken to their insane death dragged by the ears or kicked there – not enough to cook them alive. Ironically today they have that affinity too even dye their dogs to be trendy but isn’t enough.
