“Happiness is not something readymade. It comes from your own actions.”-Dalai Lama.
With that in mind, I write and I campaign; still, I am not happy. Fix me a smile!
Smiles that imitate in the now, such exhilaration.
Smiles that can rekindle in hearts and remind me of life lost,
Even smiles of the sunshine reflected in faces yet to be torn.
But not of those, weary and of war’s forlorn fodder;
and stricken, now beloved, so, so deep underground…
Be mindful of peace less it darkens your door.
Depose those dark angels – inglorious and gone before,
Bring them down into the ruins of shame; brute monsters that they are – зло.
Pure evil is driven until WE stop it.
Do what you can to retain your strong power.
Be brave and stand lonely with the mad. You WILL win.
Україна та демократія для решти світу
Ukraine and democracy for the rest of the world.
This is a powerful piece, Anita. My biggest worrying how this seems to be sliding towards acceptance now. That and the West’s (for want of a better term) inability to be strong enough to force resolution.

Thank you, Chris. I would agree with your words. Unity is still ineffectual in some regards. But, let’s hope.
