screaming wind-tree-asitcomes
Foul words on screaming winds
attach to me vicious lies.
Soft in approach,
loud in defiance –
suckers lavish wounds
already frayed –
betrayal saps my strength.
Let its scorched touch
be enslaved by innocence,
and mercy unknown to me,
drop gentle from heaven.
A Quadrille is a new poem form consisting of 44 words.

I write poetry/prose/stories/short stories/verses for children/sketch/and have 6 chapters of a novel sitting there like that half eaten trifle in the fridge or bottle of Jack Daniels because something makes you afraid to eat it or drink... right now..
I am a proud Geordie from England's northern hemisphere and the beautiful city of Newcastle upon Tyne. I live with my lovely husband who came all the way from sunny California just for me, and my favourite animal, Bobble, our dog.
I am a member of Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth and wish we could all do more, especially today, when such a lot is wrong.

I cannot find any advice or evidence of writing quadrille or how or when it started. Can you help please. I run a short form poetry group and we are looking to find more short forms.

Hi, I picked i up again from this site, who invited us to do one every week. https://dversepoets.com/2016/01/18/quadrille-1/
I always thought it was a poetry form, so not sure where it originated, except it was a dance. Maybe technically not an official poetry form borne from a man who created quadrilles in music for dance. https://www.regencydances.org/paper008.php
Hope this helps.

Good. I am planning on tackling one form per week so I don’t forget to set aside some time. Used to always do that.
