Like a Rabbit is a Duck

canard_lapin_noir_blanc-1c6a3

can the fall of autumn’s leaves
speak to us in a crescendo?

can the whispers of tumultuous
winds enlighten us some day?

can truth be held aloft once more
and spears of hate be deflected?

can we evolve to become human
and seekers of many invisible things?

can we close a door on brutality
and open windows to the seas?

can we stop millions of violations
and all of humanity’s atrocity?

I write poetry/prose/stories/short stories/verses for children/sketch/and have 6 chapters of a novel sitting there like that half eaten trifle in the fridge or bottle of Jack Daniels because something makes you afraid to eat it or drink... right now.. I am a proud Geordie from England's northern hemisphere and the beautiful city of Newcastle upon Tyne. I live with my lovely husband who came all the way from sunny California just for me, and my favourite animal, Bobble, our dog. I am a member of Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth and wish we could all do more, especially today, when such a lot is wrong.

    1. Not necessarily magic, I do not think we are the kind of creature to be happy that way, Utopia would not suit us either. So not magical just a saner world? These question are as insane as that happening I think. Thank you, Veena for your input.
